Where are you working this year? I am an intern at the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic at Lewis and Clark Law School. I get to work alongside law students and lawyers on projects that will help people who are currently incarcerated, or were incarcerated.
Favorite thing about living in Portland? One of my favorite things about living in Portland is the food!
Favorite Tivnu activity so far? I really enjoy getting to spend the occasional shabbat with my host family.
Something that’s surprised you this year: I have been surprised by how much I enjoy construction.
Tivnu: Building Justice is optimistic that our 2020 - 21 Gap Year program will continue as planned, beginning on September 1. We have extended the application deadline to June 1, as space permits. Our staff is working remotely but with great excitement as we prepare for internships, learning, living, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest together. We will be implementing whatever modifications are needed to keep ourselves and the people we work with safe and healthy. Now, more than ever, we need to get to work, building a better world.
