Lisa Lepson

Lisa Lepson is Vice President of Development at The Forward, the leading Jewish voice in American journalism, where she oversees a diversified strategy for contributed revenue, fueling a reinvention of the storied publication. Before that, Lisa spent eight years as Executive Director of Joshua Venture Group, which funded and provided capacity-building support to early-stage Jewish organizations, then served as Chief Development Officer at UpStart after its merger with JVG. During her time at JVG, she supported Tivnu’s early growth while Steve Eisenbach-Budner was a JVG Fellow from 2012-2014. 

Lisa has more than two decades of nonprofit management expertise, including a specialty in coaching young organizations through strategic planning, fundraising, and organization building. While in college at Brown, she spent a semester in Cameroon and studied French, English, and Hebrew literature.  She holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where she focused on social entrepreneurship. She grew up in Brooklyn and, after 10 years on the West Coast, is now back in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
