Leah Finkelman
Leah Finkelman is the Engagement Manager of Teens & Camping at Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston. She helps to set the high-level teen engagement agenda, implementing CJP’s strategies, goals and priorities in teen spaces, encouraging partners to work collaboratively and innovatively to meet the needs of Boston’s teen community. She also oversees CJP’s Jewish overnight camp work to support the 2000+ Boston youth and teens who find their home at Jewish camp.
After attending Brandeis University and prior to joining CJP, Leah worked directly with teens and pre-teens, inspiring them to find meaningful connection between Judaism and their own lives through informal, experiential and social-emotional learning and engagement.
Originally from Granville, Ohio, Leah grew up in an interfaith family committed to Jewish values and community, and was heavily involved in youth group through her home synagogue in Columbus and at her own second home, URJ Goldman Union Camp Institute. As a Tivnu board member, Leah brings the professional experience of creating and fostering deep connections between social justice, experiential education and Jewish values, based on more than a decade of helping teens figure out who they are and who they want to be.
