Jamie Beran

Jamie Beran is the Chief Operating Officer at Bend the Arc. As a member of the Executive Team, her work is focused on holding the organization to high standards of internal management, planning, staff development, and creating an intentional and resilient organizational culture. As COO, Jamie oversees Bend the Arc’s Development, Finance, and Human Resources departments, as well as the National Conference Manager. Jamie has helped lead the organization through unprecedented growth and has overseen policy development, strategic partnerships, organizational planning, budget development, and complex personnel issues. Jamie has also played a key role in implementing Bend the Arc’s commitments around racial equity, particularly in the realms of hiring, compensation, and internal policies and practices. In addition, Jamie manages the Board of Directors and helps shepherd board development processes. Now in her twelfth year at Bend the Arc, Jamie has held roles in almost every part of the organization, most recently serving as Chief of Staff for five years before becoming COO.

Jamie has close to 20 years of program management and leadership development experience in the Jewish social justice sector. Jamie is a graduate of The Rockwood Leadership Institute’s Art of Leadership Training as well as Advancing Women Professionals and the Jewish Community’s Social Justice Cohort. She holds a BA from Goucher College. Before joining Bend the Arc, Jamie was the Director of Leadership Development for Habonim Dror North America and the Director of Camp Galil. Jamie lives in Princeton Junction, NJ with her husband and her two young children.
