Ilana McNamara

Ilana McNamara (she/they) loves building community, creating and eating good food, and engaging with intentional Jewish thought and practice. Although originally from Omaha, Nebraska, being with Tivnu feels like a homecoming to Ilana, whose dad grew up in Portland a few blocks away from the Tivnu batim (houses)! A recent graduate from Oberlin College and Conservatory with degrees in Viola Performance and Mathematics, Ilana also holds minors in Interdisciplinary Performance and Improvisation. Ilana had a growth-full past year playing music in Sri Lanka, and is coming to Portland after a transformative summer working as a Unit Head at Eden Village Camp in upstate New York.
