Beth-Missie-Polasky

Beth “Missie” Polasky is a Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutor and writer in the Boston area. She holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Grad School of Education. She has seen first-hand the transformational power of a domestic gap year program on recent High School grads – son, Nadav, was part of Tivnu’s ’15-’16 cohort, and her daughter Hannah served as a City Year member in Washington D.C. in 2010 (pre-Tivnu!).

Missie has served on the Board of Trustees at the Jewish Community Day School in Watertown, MA, and is a member of the Boston Keshet Parent and Family Connection Committee. She plays guitar and sings with toddlers through the Watertown Family Network, and volunteers at the Nathan Hale School in Roxbury, MA. She lives (in an empty nest) with her husband, Sam, in Newton, MA, is an active member of the Newton Centre Minyan, and is a devoted tap dancer! Missie is proud to be on the Board of Tivnu: Building Justice.
