David is the director of Camp Tel Yehudah, the senior leadership camp of Young Judaea. In previous lives he was a high school teacher, family educator, curriculum developer and educational consultant. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Judaic Studies and Political Science, has a master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and has studied at Machon Pardes in Jerusalem. He is a graduate of the Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Executive Leadership Institute as well as a recipient of the Innovator Award from the Legacy Heritage Fund. As a strong believer in immersive Jewish experiences, David is excited about the opportunities Tivnu will give young people to live, work and play in an intentional community deeply rooted in Jewish values.
Tivnu: Building Justice is optimistic that our 2020 - 21 Gap Year program will continue as planned, beginning on September 1. We are still accepting applicants, as space permits. Our staff is working remotely but with great excitement as we prepare for internships, learning, living, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest together. We will be implementing whatever modifications are needed to keep ourselves and the people we work with safe and healthy. Now, more than ever, we need to get to work, building a better world.
