What is the most enjoyable part of non-Habitat for Humanity days?
Program Participant Nomi (pictured above): It is good to be able to learn a new set of skills and be able to see a very specific project go from start to finish. I have seen that in the shed, in pickling with Marissa, and baking hamentchen with Baye.
Program Participant Reuben (not pictured): I like the slightly later wake-ups and the fact that we don’t have to commute to work. I realize this sounds selfish, but it is also nice to build something for yourself and the group. I love Habitat and the feeling it gives me when I help others ,but sometimes its nice to do something for yourself and work all day as opposed to the often sporadic work at Habitat.
