We are Tivnu, the first Jewish social justice gap year program in the United States.
Tivnu gives us an opportunity to contribute to and be part of the community. The common thread of our volunteer work is Habitat for Humanity, an organization that builds affordable housing, but Tivnu also gives us the opportunity to explore our own social justice interests. As Tivnu gap year participants, we work, eat, learn, and live as a community.
Tivnu relies heavily on donations to continue our work in the community.
Many Tivnu participants receive financial aid. Even with the full cost of tuition, each participant’s experience is subsidized by donors just like you. Your donation helps us receive hands-on training, including intensive construction training, as well as experience learning and working on issues related to Judaism and social justice.
Any amount would be appreciated. Remember, you are not only helping our program, but the many other community-focused organizations where we volunteer.
